I took two courses on teaching and learning with digital media during my teacher training program. These courses were very helpful for me as a future teacher and prepared me well for the use of digital media in the classroom. Especially during distance learning, this knowledge has benefited me.
I am a student teacher and I had to complete the MOOC Lehren und Lernen mit digitalen Medien II. Since my native language is not German I really appreciated that there were subtitles and transcripts. In addition to that I was glad that by clicking on Files I could download all the materials very quickly.
iMooX has enormous potential ... I was able to reach tens of thousands of people with my MOOC "Protection in Electrical Power Systems": a wonderful and satisfying feeling that people have gained knowledge through it. It would have not been possible in a lecture hall of TU Graz!
By giving me the opportunity to learn independently of time and space, the iMooX platform enables me to enjoy a well-founded continuing education despite many professional and private commitments. Thanks to the EBmooc I was able to expand my digital competence. The EBmooc plus was of great help when I had to convert my face-to-face events into online workshops in 2020. Additionally, thanks to the EBmoocs, I now feel very comfortable in the online space and look forward to an update through the upcoming EBmooc. Furthermore, with the course "Inclusion – Diversity as a Chance! Basics of Inclusive Pedagogy" I would like to add theoretical foundations to my lived inclusive everyday life. And there are so many more interesting MOOCs on iMooX—I don't think I'll run out of learning ideas!
I came across the EBmooc via iMooX during the pandemic and it was a wonderful fit for me. It was very pleasant to learn with videos regardless of location and schedules. With the additional links, I was able to expand my knowledge of topics, which was exactly what I wanted to learn. I also found the live online units great. They enabled me to exchange ideas directly and I felt like I was part of a group of learners. I did not complete the course, but that wasn't my goal either. That's exactly what I like about the EBmooc, not having to do all of it. All in all, iMooX is a benefit on many levels of growth through learning and with knowledge.
