DI Kevin Fister
Kevin Fister currently works for Magna Powertrain as an SQD (Supplier Quality Development) specialist. There, he serves as the interface between development, purchasing, and the supplier. This role requires interdisciplinary collaboration, a solid technical background, and a particular aptitude for working with all project stakeholders. Prior to this, Mr. Fister worked independently as a plant designer for one year and was responsible for the construction of two district heating plants (in France and Austria).
After graduating in October 2011, he initially worked as a design engineer and subsequently as an SE team leader for Magna Battery Systems, where he was responsible for battery development on a production project. Through two European patents in battery development, he also gained insight into what innovation means in a technician’s “day-to-day work.”
During his studies, he founded the TERA TU Graz association with fellow students. In the first season, he focused primarily on building up the association, and in the second year, as technical director at the Shell Eco-Marathon, he set a new international record for energy-efficient vehicles with a team of top-notch and ambitious students.
Before entering the automotive industry and during his studies, he gained extensive experience in plant engineering at Verbund AG, Pöyry, and Andritz AG, as well as at smaller companies.
