With the iPad, you always have your own film studio at hand and can prepare various video scenarios quickly and easily - Hollywood is within your reach.
Film production in the classroom offers a wide range of opportunities. It allows students to express themselves creatively, promotes media literacy, and strengthens their communication skills. By analyzing films, they develop analytical thinking and improve their presentation skills. In addition, they can implement cross-curricular projects. Film production is a motivating and hands-on way to enhance learning and teach students a wide range of skills.
With Apple's own apps, you can get impressive results in no time, ready to share with your class or online. We also offer a variety of iPad mounts for quick recording to make the filming experience even easier.

In four lessons, we'll show you everything you need to start digital lessons with the iPad:- Lesson 1 (Video: Video editing in Photos/Clips)
Discover the full potential of your Camera and Photos app! Learn how to effortlessly edit video and even create quick tutorials with the screen capture feature. This lesson also introduces the very intuitive app Clips. Expand your skills and become a master of visual creations! - Lesson 2 (Video: Video editing in iMovie - Trailer)
Prepare to dive into the world of filmmaking! With pre-made templates as a starting point, you can insert your own photos and videos. Music automatically matches the edit, and in just a few minutes you'll be ready to show off your first amazing commercial. Perfect for class field trips and more! - Lesson 3 (Video: Video editing in iMovie - Movie)
Dive into the fascinating world of iMovie and discover the many options for editing and creating your own videos. The iPad becomes your own little film studio in your pocket. Let yourself be surprised by the countless possibilities and unleash your creativity! - Lesson 4 (Video: Inspiration & Apple Learning Center)
Motto: “Sharing is caring”. Educators use the technologies on the iPad in a variety of ways. In this lesson, we present many practice-oriented teaching examples that invite you to try them out in the class and motivate you to do something.
Reference is also made here to the Apple Learning Center, where the content discussed in the MOOC is repeated and summarized.
Course Goals

- get to know the app iMovie Trailer.
- learn about the iMovie Movie app.
- get to know the app Clips.
- purchase the bagde "iMovie for iPad" in the Learning Center of the Education Community.
- are inspired with many practical teaching examples.
Previous Knowledge
No special previous knowledge is necessary.
Course Procedure
The course consists of four lessons, each containing at least one video, various additional materials and a final quiz. The individual lessons are all activated at the start of the MOOC and are then available as self-learning courses.
Accompanying Phase
In order to deepen the learning content and to give you the opportunity to exchange ideas with Anna Weghuber and Thomas Wimmer, we are offering a one-off Zoom question time on the following date, in which you can participate voluntarily:

Certificate
For active participation in the course, an automated certificate will be issued upon completion, which contains your user name, the course name and the completed lessons. It should be noted that this is only a confirmation that you have correctly answered at least 75% of the self-assessment questions.Licence

- Do I have to create an iMooX account to take part in the course?
If you are already enrolled at a college/university, you can select "eduID" when logging in and then log in with your PH online access data from your university. Otherwise you can of course register again. - Are there fixed lesson times during which I have to be online?
No, the modules are completed in self-study.
However, there is an online question time on Wednesday, September 27th, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., which you can attend voluntarily.
The invitation will follow by email. - I missed the MOOC start time, can I still join?
Yes, you can join the course at any time. - How do I get a PH-Online participation confirmation?
If you have successfully completed the MOOC, you will find the registration link to a PH online event at the end of lesson 4. Register for this training event. Prerequisite is the enrollment at the Private University of Education, Diocese Linz . Also send the MOOC certificate to ipad_academy@phdl.at. The PH online participation confirmations with 7 teaching units are issued quarterly. - I heard that after the 6 MOOCs you also have the certification for the Apple Teacher?
In each of the 6 MOOCs of the iPad Innovation Academy series, lesson 4 refers to the Apple Learning Center, where the content discussed in the MOOC is repeated and summarized. Work through these lessons and complete the relevant quiz to earn your badge. Earn all six badges and you'll be certified as an Apple Teacher and meet the requirements to become an Apple Learning Coach.
