Opći podaci o kursu

#hackathon #challenge2022 #eaccessibility

Would you like to run a slightly unconventional course that focuses on innovation and idea generation? Or are you looking for solutions to challenges at your university or company? Then maybe a hackathon is the right method for you.

Sadržaj

Sadržaj kursa

This mini MOOC summarises in 5 lessons what to look for when planning a hackathon and which factors need to be taken into account. The Hackathon eAccessibility Challenge sponsored by the Forum Neue Medien Austria (FNMA) serves as an example. It was planned in a cooperation between FH Technikum Wien and TU Graz and carried out in May 2022.
The course is divided into the following five lessons:
  1. Basics: What is a hackathon?
  2. Before the hackathon: topic and target group
  3. Before the hackathon: general conditions and marketing
  4. During the Hackathon: implementation
  5. After the Hackathon: follow-up

Ciljevi kursa

After completing the course, participants know what a hackathon is and have reflected on the objectives for which a hackathon is suitable.

Participants know how to take the target group and framework conditions into account when planning. They can formulate the topic and challenges according to the target group and implement a marketing strategy according to the target group and content.

The participants will also know which factors need to be considered when conducting and following up on a hackathon.

Based on the suggestions in this mini MOOC, they will be able to organise, conduct and follow up their own hackathon as part of a course, in their own department in a company, or across courses or universities/companies.

Predznanje

The course is aimed at anyone who would like to (co-)organise a hackathon. No specific previous knowledge is necessary, just an interest in organising and running events.

Način provođenja kursa

The course consists of five short lessons, each of which includes one to two videos, supplementary materials, reflection questions where appropriate and a quiz for self-assessment.

The course can be completed in self-study. Participants are invited to post the answers to the reflection questions in the forum.

Certifikat

For actively participating in the course you will receive an automatic certificate which includes your username, the course name as well as the completed lessons. We want to point out that this certificate merely confirms that the user answered at least 75% of the self-assessment questions correctly.
