Course Goals

  • I know how copyright law is organised in Austria
  • I can deal with terms such as 'private copying', 'exploitation rights' etc.
  • I know the civil and criminal claims under copyright law
  • I have knowledge of free licences such as Creative Commons
  • I know the main contents of the current copyright amendments

Course Procedure

The course is divided into five units. Each course unit comprises two lectures in the form of video lectures, which provide in-depth information on the ten subject areas. In addition, a quiz consisting of multiple-choice questions is offered per course unit, which can be completed by the participants to check their individual learning progress.

Certificate

For actively participating in the course you will receive an automatic confirmation of participation (certificate) which includes your username, the course title, course duration as well as the hours required to complete the course. We want to point out that this certificate merely confirms that the user answered at least 75% of the self-assessment questions correctly.

RA Mag. Michael Lanzinger
Michael Lanzinger is based in Wels (Upper Austria) and specialises in criminal law, drug law and cybercrime. He is an external lecturer at the University of Graz and at the Lawyers' Academy, as well as a lecturer in the fields of civil, criminal and online law. He is also a founding member of Nerds of Law OG and NetzBeweis GmbH. When he is not touring with the LawBusters or defending in court, he co-hosts the Nerds of Law and LawBusters podcasts.
