Conceptualise and design 360° learning scenarios
Technical University of Darmstadt
Markus Weber und Marcella Haller
About
General Course Information
This course is designed to help students understand the media didactic and technical conceptualisation and creation of virtual teaching and learning scenarios using 360° technology and to help them subsequently implement their own projects independently in a 360° context.
Content
Course Content
This course provides you with ...
- basic knowledge of the media-didactic design of 360-degree learning scenarios in a university context.
- technical knowledge of tools for implementing the design of 360-degree learning scenarios.
- an overview of the production and workflow of the topic.
Course Goals
After this course ...
- you will be able to independently conceptualise and design a digital 360-degree learning scenario for a specific problem (in your own university teaching).
- you will know the tools and workflow for creating and editing 360-degree learning scenarios.
Previous Knowledge
No previous knowledge is necessary.
Course Procedure
The course is divided into various units, which are intended to provide you with general information and step-by-step instructions for designing teaching and learning scenarios in 360 degrees. If you are just starting out on the subject, we recommend that you work through the various sections one after the other. Allow yourself plenty of time to work through the tasks.
Certificate
For actively participating in the course you will receive an automatic certificate which includes your name, the course name as well as the completed lessons. We want to point out that this certificate merely confirms that you answered at least 75% of the self-assessment questions correctly.
Course Instructor
Markus Weber und Marcella Haller
Markus Weber and Marcella Haller are members of the Center for Educational Development and Technology, Unit "Digital Teaching and Learning" at the Technical University of Darmstadt. Main areas of work: Didactic concept development and consulting. Both are part of the “fuels - Future Learning Spaces” project. In this project, they deal with the technologies 360°, AR and VR in the teaching context.

Partners
fuels - Future Learning Spaces is a joint project as part of the Hessian funding programme “High quality in studying and teaching, good framework conditions for studying” (QuiS). As part of the project, TU Darmstadt, together with Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and Goethe University Frankfurt, is working on the media didactic and technical conceptualisation and creation of virtual teaching and learning scenarios using 360°, augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies. The aim is to design ‘Future Learning Spaces’ in which physical and digital spaces and elements are mixed depending on the scenario.
The content of this course is based on the results and findings of the fuels project and was developed under the leadership of TU Darmstadt.
